Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is now hiring Human Resource Assistant to join our HR team. This position is full time on site.
Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients.
Position information:
The Human Resource Assistant will assist the Human Resource department’s functions and be a back up to other HR staff when they are out of the office. This position requires a person that is professional yet able to relay the company’s values while providing service to customer’s both internally and externally.

Job Functions:
- Assist with pre-employment process including completing references and following up on required documentation.
- Assist with the onboarding process by preparing orientation materials, collecting required documents, finger printing and ensuring smooth integration for new hires.
- Manage the offboarding process by processing termination paperwork and conducting exit interviews.
- Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing personnel files, ensuring compliance with data privacy and record-keeping regulations.
- Help manage the benefit systems and address system issues directly with vendors or broker.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Assist with audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with HR-related documentation and processes.
- Assist with the coordination of training sessions, including room setup, materials distribution, and employee registration.
- Track and report employee participation in required training programs.
- Back up HR functions when others are on leave.
- Task and projects as assigned

- Hourly: $22 - $32 an hour

- Paid Time Off - You will accrue Paid Sick and Safe Leave at 1 hour per 40 hours worked. Paid Sick leave cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date.
- Paid Time Off will be accrued based on hours worked and tenure. You will accrue 0.12 hours of PTO per hours worked until you reach the next level of accrual. PTO cannot be used until 90 days after your hire date with the exception of designated Wellfound holidays.

- Associates degree in Human Resources or related field; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
Work Experience:
- One year administrative experience required, preferable in Human Resources
