Site Coordinator for After School Child Care (ASCC)

School Days 2:00-5:30pm, Early Dismissal Days 11:00-5:30pm

DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT

OF POSITION:

The Site Coordinator will provide leadership and support for staff and families in their efforts to deliver a high-quality program for children in grades K–5. The Site Coordinator is responsible for the daily program operations, the safety and well-being of children, supervision of ASCC staff, and ongoing communication with families. The Site Coordinator must have training pertinent to the developmental needs of school-aged children.

The Site Coordinator will:

• Participate in required professional development, including but not limited to First Aid and CPR.
• Work collaboratively with the Wellfleet Elementary School day staff to ensure smooth transitions between programs and the thoughtful integration of curriculum from the school day to after-school hours.
• Prioritize the creation and implementation of educational programming that meets the diverse academic, social, and developmental needs of students.
• Create the ASCC Activity Plan, order program materials and equipment, and coordinate the set-up of the dedicated program space.

The Site Coordinator will be supervised, managed, and evaluated by the Wellfleet Elementary School Principal.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least six months of experience working with school-age children, as well as prior administrative experience. Candidates should also demonstrate a strong desire to work in the education field and a commitment to supporting students, staff, and families in a school community.

Current Massachusetts Elementary Education teaching certification.

SALARY:

$45.26/hr
