Wellesley Montessori School, an established and authentic Montessori program serving children from infancy through kindergarten, is seeking a warm, dedicated, and collaborative Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our team.
About the Role
The Assistant Toddler Teacher works in partnership with the Lead Montessori Teacher to support a classroom of children ages 18 months to 3 years. This role is vital in helping create a nurturing, respectful, and engaging environment where children develop independence, confidence, and a love of learning.
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Teacher in preparing and maintaining the classroom environment.
- Assist children with daily routines, including toileting, dressing, meals, and transitions.
- Model respectful communication and positive interactions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly classroom aligned with Montessori principles.
- Foster children’s independence and problem-solving skills through observation and gentle guidance.
- Communicate effectively and positively with children, families, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Experience working with young children (toddler age preferred).
- Warm, patient, and dependable, with a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and follow Montessori practices.
- EEC certification (preferred, but not required).
- Willingness to learn and grow through professional development and mentorship.

Base Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
