About the Role
We are looking for a Shipping Coordinator / Shipping Associate to support our shipping department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preparing, organizing, and coordinating outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
This position requires someone with prior shipping office experience who is comfortable working independently, as they will be responsible for managing shipping operations during second shift.
This position reports directly to the Logistics Manager.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and package outgoing orders accurately and efficiently
· Verify product counts, part numbers, and shipping documentation
· Coordinate shipments using company systems and carriers
· Ensure all shipments are completed on time and meet company standards
· Maintain a clean and organized shipping area
· Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments
· Assist with inventory handling and material movement
· Adapt to changing priorities and production demands
Requirements
· Previous shipping office experience REQUIRED
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
· Basic computer and shipping system knowledge
· Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
· Reliable attendance and transportation
· Flexibility to work overtime and schedule changes
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in a manufacturing environment
· Forklift experience (a plus, not required)
· English proficiency required for communication and documentation
