Responsibilities
- Advise internal teams on legal rights, obligations, and best practices across multiple business functions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including agreements with clients, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct legal research to stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the organization.
- Manage and coordinate with external counsel on litigation matters or specialized legal issues as needed.
- Assist in developing policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance and mitigate legal risks.
- Support corporate governance activities by preparing documentation for meetings, filings, and regulatory submissions.
- Represent the organization in negotiations or legal proceedings when required, maintaining professionalism and assertiveness.
Skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active licensure to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.
- Proven experience as an attorney in a corporate or organizational setting, with strong knowledge of contract law, compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal language clearly and accurately.
- Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—to effectively convey legal advice to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills combined with a proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
