Job Purpose
Welldoc is looking for a qualified intern to join our Data Science team. This student intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of a data science team in the digital therapeutics industry.
Responsibilities
The intern will get to work in three data science domain areas:
Domain 1: Client reporting support: Here, the intern will work with our client success team as to prepare monthly reports for a select few clients. It’ll involve them working with data tables and joining them to create singular views with amalgamated data that will be shared by our client success team with clients.
Domain 2: Power BI Reporting Engine Upgrades: Here, the intern will work with many stakeholders to gather some key requirements and make updates to our reporting engine we use for all clients. This will expose the intern to the types of reports and analysis we do for our clients.
Domain 3: Applying AI to Datasets. Here, the intern will answer some key questions and will put their AI/ML hat on to help prepare datasets, create mathematical models and run models to see if we can confirm hypotheses regarding patient behavior, outcomes, engagement, etc.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $20-25/hour.
Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, you may be required to complete and clear a multi-panel drug screening process. This screening is in connection with requirements set by certain of the Company’s customers, with which you may be working in this role, and will at all times be administered under all applicable laws.

Required Skills & Experience
- Basic Microsoft Office skill set (e.g. Excel spreadsheet)
- Experience with SQL and Power BI
- Previous internship experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet required deadlines
Required Eductation
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (juniors and seniors) – Computer Science, Data Analytics,or related majors are preferred.
