What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refrigeration Mechanic position at WELLBORNE MECHANIC CO LLC?
Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on trailer refrigeration units consisting of single and multi-temperature systems. Diagnose and repair mechanical, refrigerant, and electrical problems. Complete accurate work completion records.
- Inspect refrigeration units for damage or worn parts.
- Perform and accurately record preventive maintenance on refrigeration units.
- Diagnose and repair unit malfunctions using latest techniques and equipment.
- Accurately complete work completion reports as required.
- Clean and tidy the work area.
- Observe all safety and other shop rules
- Such other maintenance duties as may be assigned.
Certification from an accredited diesel technology program with at least one course in trailer refrigeration repair and two years of hands-on trailer refrigeration mechanic experience.
- Ability to use hand tools and operate mechanical devices utilized in trailer repair
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Strong customer orientation.
Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Job involves walking, or standing for long periods. Must have ability to safely climb stairs, ladders, and equipment footholds. Some work from heights is required. Must possess ability to work nights and weekends where required.
