Position Summary:

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. Security continues to help Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. serve all of our employees and keep them safe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patrols in and out of the plant to include off-site areas
• Make visual inspections of property, employees, and vehicles. Entering and leaving the property
• Use a scanner to record rounds
• Write tickets
• Direct or control traffic
• Do paperwork and keep logs
• Monitor fire alarm system
• Monitor camera system
• Lock and unlock doors and gates
• Check for air and water leaks
• Maintain company vehicles
• Be courteous, polite, and respectful in all situations
• Assist employees with vehicle problems and directions
• Properly do accident and incident reports
• Investigate using video systems
• Take witness statements
• Secure any scenes
• Respond to any situation (fire, medical, security)
• Assist in terminations or suspensions
• Assist in all recreation for visitors and employees

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Experience in firearms
• Pass a background check
• Good driving records
• First Aid & Fire Training (preferred but not required)

Education and Experience

• Military or Police Officer Training (preferred)

Scope and Impact:

Position has recurring work situations that involve having a high attention to detail and service results. It is important that Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. Safety protocols be followed as a guide for operational direction. Failing to follow prescribed guidelines will waste resources and adversely impact performance.
