Role Description
Well Roots Counseling is a private practice specializing in reproductive, pregnancy, and postpartum mental health, as well as therapy for adults, couples, and families. We are a collaborative and supportive practice that values depth of clinical work, thoughtful care, and long term professional growth.
We are seeking a licensed clinician (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW) in Parker, Colorado to join our team in the role of Maternal Mental Health and Parent Child Therapist. This position provides outpatient therapy services to mothers, parents, adults, couples, families, and the LGBTQIA community. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, experience in relational and trauma informed work, and a genuine commitment to supporting parents and families through the reproductive and early parenting stages. Applicant must have a minimum of one year outpatient counseling experience post grad.
Training in perinatal mental health is strongly preferred. Clinicians with experience or interest in pregnancy, infertility, postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment to motherhood, play therapy, and women’s mental health are encouraged to apply. Candidates who are not yet formally trained in perinatal mental health but are willing to complete Postpartum Support International training will also be considered.
This is a 1099 Contract, hybrid position that includes regular in person sessions at our Parker, Colorado office as well as virtual therapy sessions. Consistent in person availability on Tuesdays is required, and this role is designed for clinicians seeking a stable source of income rather than supplemental or occasional work.
This position requires in ethical marketing and outreach efforts, including maintaining professional profiles, building referral relationships, and representing the practice in alignment with licensure and professional standards.
Please note: we are currently seeking candidates licensed in Colorado with clinical experience in perinatal mental health, including pregnancy, infertility, postpartum depression and anxiety, and the transition to parenthood. Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in maternal mental health, parent-child relationships, and family therapy
- Proficiency in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT)
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention strategies
- Experience in working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field
- Active and valid licensure as a therapist in the state of Colorado (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
- One year of outpatient counseling experience postgrad
- Specialized certification in maternal mental health or related areas is a plus
- Commitment to delivering compassionate and client-focused care
