This role is responsible for preparing, finishing, and repairing interior aircraft components to meet high-quality standards and strict FAA regulations. The ideal candidate has experience in spray finishing, surface preparation, and detailing, with a strong commitment to safety and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare aircraft interior components for finishing, including sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming surfaces
- Apply coatings using spray equipment to achieve high-quality finishes
- Perform cut and buff processes to refine and polish surfaces
- Conduct local repairs on finished components, ensuring seamless appearance and durability
- Perform re-veneering work as needed to restore or enhance interior surfaces
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications
- Follow all FAA regulations, company quality procedures, and safety guidelines
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition
- Document work performed and report any discrepancies or defects
Qualifications:
- Experience in aircraft interior finishing, automotive finishing, cabinetry finishing, or related field preferred
- Proficiency with spray equipment and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of surface preparation, coatings, and polishing processes
- Ability to perform detailed repair and re-veneering work
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
- Understanding of FAA standards and compliance requirements is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and work orders
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
