What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech 1-DICP (2nd shift) position at Well Enterprises - Career Site?
Under supervision, performs preventive maintenance, inspection and repair of equipment and machinery. This is a position that requires the ability to constantly learn new skills for maintaining and repairing equipment in an everchanging field of expertise. Must possess ability to apply pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical principles to all equipment. Employee must be able to read blueprints and schematics. All work is performed in a fast paced, highly demanding environment. Employee must be able to work and function safely at heights in excess of 60 feet and in temperatures ranging from 95 degrees to -20 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Greers - Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled preventive and predictive Maintenance, unplanned repairs, and overhaul all equipment associated with all 4 Greers. This will include in-feed conveyors, racks and trays, ram assemblies, micro switches, and a variety of conveyors. Must assist Process Controls with any modifications or upgrades. Will also be responsible for out-feed conveyors leading into the line room palletizing area.
- Cranes - Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled preventive and predictive Maintenance, unplanned repairs, and overhaul all equipment associated with the K and L cranes. This will include cable replacement, shoe replacement, table rebuilds, wheels replacements, and rail inspections.
- NDS, Vitaline, Hoyer and all other Fillers - Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, unplanned repairs, and overhaul all equipment associated with the various fillers we use in the production areas. This will include diagnosing mechanical and electrical malfunctions of motors and controls circuits up to PLCs. Timing of various machine functions and assisting with operational adjustments and change overs. Other support equipment including stuffing pumps, agitators, fruit feeders and other ancillary equipment.
- Wrappers and Cartoners - Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, unplanned repairs and overhaul all equipment associated with the Various product wrappers and Cartoners. This will include all Vitaline, Hoyer, Gram, Delta, NDS, PMI, and palletizing wrappers. This will include diagnosing mechanical and electrical malfunctions of motors and controls circuits up to PLCs. Timing of various machine functions and assisting with operational adjustments and change overs. Other support equipment includes tape machines, Ink jet coders, metal detectors, and various conveyance systems.
- Mix room operations - Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, unplanned repairs and overhaul all equipment associated with HTST-1,2&3 as well as the Homogenizers associated with each.
- CIP Systems - Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, unplanned repairs and overhaul all equipment associated with CIP1-6. This will include diagnosing mechanical and electrical malfunctions of motors and controls circuits up to PLCs.
- Coordinates with other department personnel, activities to improve procedures and resolve problems. Assist scheduler with maintenance plans to meet operational commitments. Review maintenance data collection summaries to determine trends and production effectiveness. Active participant in learning continuous improvement basics and recommends improvements as identified
- With assistance as needed is responsible for replacement and set-up of Frequency Drives on all conveyors, pumps, and motor-driven equipment. This will include trouble shooting and repair of Frequency Drives DC drives, single and 3-phase motors.
The base pay range for this position is $33.12 per hour, plus night shift premium of $1.25. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This pay range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION List the minimum education required to be qualified for the position, including certifications or licenses. High school diploma or equivalent GED, journeyman's license, or 2-year degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE List experience preferred to be qualified for the position - Previous mechanical experience is essential. Previous electrical and maintenance experience is preferred. Emerging understanding of concepts and applications of mechanics. Must pass the written assessment of Electric Tech 1.
