We are seeking an Experienced Event Sales Associate with a strong background in catering, hospitality, or event management to support and enhance our Account Executive team. This is a dynamic role requiring proven experience in client-facing environments, strong project management skills, and the ability to take initiative. The position includes both office and on-site responsibilities and is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their event sales career.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Experienced Event Sales Associate with a strong background in catering, hospitality, or event management to support and enhance our Account Executive team. This is a dynamic role requiring proven experience in client-facing environments, strong project management skills, and the ability to take initiative. The position includes both office and on-site responsibilities and is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their event sales career.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, including responding to client inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and efficiency.
- Assist in the creation, revision, and management of complex event proposals and contracts.
- Place and monitor vendor orders for all required materials, rentals, and supplies.
- Ensure timely approval and confirmation of all client contracts prior to events.
- Prepare comprehensive event packets, including layouts, timelines, and supporting documentation.
- Verify billing information and assist with the preparation of invoices for Accounting.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Account Executive regarding client updates, requests, and changes.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings, site visits, tastings, and events as needed.
- Serve as an on-site liaison, supporting event execution and client satisfaction.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior sales team members.
- Other administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in catering, event planning, or hospitality sales required.
- Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and supporting high-volume event execution.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with catering software is a plus.
- Reliable transportation to the office and off-site events is required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in administrative support roles within the hospitality industry strongly desired.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends based on the events calendar.
Compensation:
- Very competitive salary, commensurate with experience, plus hourly event pay and bonus structure.
