What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Support Specialist position at Well Care First Child and Family?

Case Management Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the agency’s foster care operations by conducting home visits, monitoring foster parent compliance, completing required documentation, and ensuring case files remain accurate and up to date.

This position focuses on foster parent oversight, case management support, and strong documentation practices, while working collaboratively with all staff to promote safety, stability, and quality care.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled home visits to evaluate foster parent compliance with DFPS Minimum Standards and agency policies.
  • Monitor home safety, supervision practices, medication storage, discipline practices, and overall care of children.
  • Provide coaching and corrective guidance to foster parents as needed.
  • Identify concerns early and report to agency leadership.
  • Support foster parents in meeting documentation, training, and household requirements.
  • Monthly contacts and documentation
  • Gathering information from schools, medical providers, or other agencies
  • Completing visit summaries, progress notes, and required reports
  • Assisting families with navigating agency expectations
  • Participate in meetings, appointments, or staffing sessions as assigned.
  • Support crisis response and follow-up (non-clinical).

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a High School Diploma; however, an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a human services field preferred.
  • Experience in foster care, childcare, case management, or social services strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of DFPS Minimum Standards (or willingness to learn).
  • Excellent documentation, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass all background checks.

Work Schedule:

  • Flexible scheduling based on home availability
  • Part-time only 20 to 35 hours per week
  • Contract (1099)
  • Compensation based on experience

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Dallas, TX 75232
