Job Title: Supply Chain Manager
Department: Materials Management
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Salary: Range $90,000-$120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for directing and supervising the purchase of medical supplies and office equipment and services at the most favorable prices consistent with quality, quantity and efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develops, gains approval of and monitors a budget for their area of responsibility.
Develops, gains approval of and monitors the progress of goals and objectives and implements departmental policies and procedures for their area of responsibility.
Coordinates the hiring, training and development of all personnel in his/her area of responsibility.
Supervises the efforts of personnel, disciplines them according to organization policy and assures that formal performance evaluations are done in a timely fashion.
Negotiates purchase contracts.
Secures sources of supplies, negotiates price and shipment and follows up conflicts or questions on supplies shipped.
Reviews and consults with department managers concerning requisitions for supplies and equipment or changes in supplies currently used.
Organizes and monitors the efficient storage, inventory and dispersal of supplies.
Maintains costing system to accurately record additions and deletions and charge each department for supplies used.
Investigates prices and products for new equipment purchases and prepares purchase analysis and cost data for planning and budget activities.
Participates in and contributes to monthly department leadership meetings.
Attends seminars and programs to keep informed on materials management activities and make recommendations designed to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
Implements quality assurance standards and programs.
Provide in-service training to department personnel as necessary.
Perform related work as required.
Demonstrates organization values in daily work.
Supports the policies and procedures of the organization and the standards of the Joint Commission as required for full accreditation.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree plus three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Oracle Fusion Supply Chain Modules preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
