Quality Manager - Metal Manufacturing

The Opportunity: This is an opportunity to lead the quality function for a growing fabrication shop. You'll own ISO 9001 compliance and customer audits while staying hands-on with the team on the shop floor - coaching, solving problems, and serving as the face of quality both internally and with customers. We need a go-getter who's diligent, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoys getting to the root of quality issues.
**This is an on-site position requiring full-time presence at our facility**

What You'll Do:
- Oversee, develop, and direct the quality department team, including training, performance feedback, and workload prioritization
- Serve as a customer-facing point of contact for quality questions, comments, or concerns; travel to customer locations as needed
- Program the Romer arm for dimensional inspections and part verification
- Lead ISO 9001 compliance, including maintaining registration requirements and documentation
- Oversee the corrective action process, including Non-Conformance Reports (NCs)
- Plan, conduct, and complete customer audits, ensuring readiness and compliance with customer requirements
- Manage quality systems, including inspection plans, quality control procedures, and documentation
- Ensure company and customer quality control practices, inspection plans, quality systems, and procedures are met
- Support first-piece inspections completed by the quality team as needed: fabrication department (laser, brakes, machining) and welding department
- Step in on paint inspections, incoming piece part validation, and in-progress/predelivery inspections as needed
- Assist with layered process audits as needed
- Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
- 5-10 years of related Quality experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong leadership abilities paired with effective team communication skills
- Solid understanding of ISO 9001 requirements and quality management systems
- Romer or Faro Arm programming knowledge
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple assignments
- Comprehensive ability to read and understand blueprints
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
