Entry Operator
Welded Tube USA is a leading steel fabricator of pipe and casing products. We are expanding our operations and have several Entry Operator opportunities to become a part of Buffalo’s future in this historic industry!
Position Summary
The Entry Operator is responsible for for supplying raw material to the mill while performing routine maintenance functions. This position will also identify quality issues and communicate required changes to the production supervisor.
Job Duties
Some examples of job duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Machine operation
- Assist with mill changeover
- Measure and identify product size, gauges and types of steel
- Read measuring instruments
- Accurately execute shop orders
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Make appropriate recommendations to the maintenance manager
- Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs
Skills & Abilities
- Proven verbal and written communication ability
- Ability to read and understand equipment and training manuals
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Driven to work both independently and as part of a team
- Maintenance experience is preferred
Qualifications
Prior industrial or manufacturing experience is preferred.

Some examples of the physical demands of this job include but are not limited to the following:
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 30lbs.
- Manual dexterity and frequent use of both hands
