Position Overview

Weld House is seeking a highly skilled Automotive / Industrial Painter & Metal Finisher to join our team. This is a unique opportunity working on steel artwork, architectural signage, and commercial furniture using high-end equipment in a professional fabrication environment.

A major component of this role is precision metal finishing, including buffing and polishing aluminum and other metals to a high standard prior to coating or final delivery. Candidates should have strong experience in both metal surface preparation and automotive-quality paint systems, with the ability to take projects from bare metal to a durable finished product.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands the chemistry of paint systems, and maintains a clean, organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Buff and polish aluminum and other metals to high-quality finishes
• Surface preparation including sanding, grinding, and metal finishing
• Apply primers, paints, and clear coats with a strong understanding of chemical adhesion
• Prepare projects from bare metal to final durable finish
• Maintain consistent quality across artwork, signage, and fabricated products
• Meet production deadlines while maintaining craftsmanship standards
• Maintain equipment and keep the paint department clean and organized
• Work closely with fabrication and production teams

Ideal Candidate

• Strong experience buffing aluminum and polishing automotive surfaces
• Automotive or industrial paint experience
• Deep understanding of paint systems, primers, and clear coats
• Highly organized and deadline-driven
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Able to receive direction and work collaboratively with a team
• Takes pride in maintaining clean, professional workspaces and equipment

Bonus Skills (Highly Valued)

Candidates with custom automotive paint or artistic finishing backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. Examples include:

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years painting experience (Required)
• 2 years relevant finishing or coating experience (Required)
