What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sponsor- Spanish Club position at Weld County School District Re-8?
- Trappers Day (Community event where Spanish Club gets together and goes around town promoting Hispanic culture.)
- Homecoming Parade (School event that promotes the Fort Lupton High homecoming dance, we build our float based on the theme of the dance For example last year it was fairytale. Many young girls wore there quinceanera dresses to be Disney Princesses.)
- Halloween Street (Spanish Club organizes this event for the kids in the community to dress up and come Trick O Treat in the halls of Fort Lupton High School with a variety of themes.)
- Dia De Los Muertos (The individual Spanish club helps decorate the halls to show the Hispanic Culture and family values)
- Serenatas(Students have the option to serenade their loved ones with romantic songs and they can purchase a crush and flowers to send them to their friends or loved ones anonymously)
- Mother's Day Celebration (Biggest community event that Spanish Club organizes to all the Mothers of the community. Activities include, dances, food, Mariachi, prizes and music for everybody to dance to)
- Scholarships ( 14-15 scholarships are given to Seniors in Spanish Club for college)
- Senior BBQ (The catering class makes the Seniors banquet where the school celebrates their continuation to the world)
- All contracts/agreements for employment of personnel shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Education. Direct deposit of payroll is a condition of employment.
- No smoking is allowed in any Weld County School District Re 8 buildings.
- Selected applicant must comply with the District's Drug-Free Workplace policy.
- As required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), the selected applicant must verify, within 72 hours of employment, his/her legal right to be employed in the United States.

Purpose: To make every student feel welcome and learn about a different culture they don't usually know every day.
Description of Activity: Spanish Club is responsible for organizing, planning, and directing additional extracurricular activities outside and during school hours. The sponsor assigning this activity must possess specialized training and experience. We plan and organize our yearly Mother’s Day Celebration held at the Fort Lupton High School, among with other celebrations including Halloween Street. This club helps you obtain community service hours needed to graduate. By joining this club it helps you obtain leadership and responsibility skills.
