Welcome Home is now hiring part-time Store Sales Assistant our Easton, MD location.. Schedule will vary weekly based on staffing availability and scheduling needs.

We operate as a flat team (minimal management structure) and collaborate on displays, inventory receiving, store marketing, and sales activities. We’re a roll up your sleeves culture.

Shifts are typically 4-6 hours in length and part time staff are scheduled for a maximum of 8-12 hours per week.
At this time we are only considering candidates with a mix of mid-week and weekend availability. Staff are typically scheduled between 11am-4pm.
The job…
- Fearlessly chatting with strangers
- Assisting clients in the selection of tableware, table linen, and cooking tools, based on their interests, personal styles, and needs
- Dusting and folding. Restocking, counting, and organizing. We do this a lot.
- Receiving inventory stock.
- Support creation of displays
- Checking out guests via Shopify, our Point of Sale (POS)
Note: All staff are expected to demonstrate competency with Shopify within the first three shifts of employment.
Physical & Mental Health Requirements
- Walk up and down a flight of stairs at least 3-4 times per shift while carrying 15-20 lbs
- Lift at least 30 lbs (shipment boxes)
- Comfort assessing and understanding facial, physical, and social cues
- Ability to manage personal stress and anxiety in complex and sometimes crowded social space
- Note: We sell candles and diffusers. Folks with scent sensitivity may want to visit our store to ensure comfort working in our environment.
