Exposure to fumes or airborne particles
Manufacturing facility with machinery and equipment occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat; and risk of electrical shock. Fast paced environment
For safety and operational efficiency, candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. This includes understanding safety instructions, operating procedures, and workplace signage.

Essential Functions:
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Assist Operator in set-up, operate, adjust, and clean die cutter as required.
- Perform quality checks and make necessary machine adjustments to keep product within specification. Document all quality checks as prescribed in Quality System.
- Perform required IQS quality checks as required and report information on the computer system.
- Ensure that each load has proper load tags per Work Order.
- Make sure you have necessary raw materials, i.e., pallets, caps, slip sheets, stock, load tags, etc., notify Supervisor when you start to run low – do not run out of material.
- Assist Stacker Packer as needed.
- Communicate all relevant information to oncoming shift prior to leaving.
- Make sure that each load tag has Date, Shift and load number on each bale.
- Fill in for Aerator as needed when they are performing break relief.
- Learn the Operator job so that you may operate machine in safe and efficient manner in your absence.
- Train Stacker Packer and Aerator your position as time permits.
- Perform necessary preventive maintenance tasks on machines.
- Verify that all production reporting paperwork is accurate and turned in at end of shift.
- Ensure that all Work Orders completed on shift are turned in with appropriate Quality Check Sheets.
- Follow all quality procedures as outlined in Quality Manual, make sure that defective material is handled per procedures and that information is entered into CTS as required.
- Make sure any defective work that needs reworked is handled appropriately on your shift before leaving for the day.
- Enter Maintenance Work Requests into MP2 – for Safety, Scheduled and Unscheduled tasks as needed
- Follow plant rules and procedures and encourage others to follow rules.
- Work as a team; Lead your crew with some direction from Supervisor. When machine goes down, keep crew busy doing necessary tasks, i.e., housekeeping, rework or other duties assigned by Supervisor
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Maintains area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Checks and assures quality of products at own level of responsibility.
- Performs job in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
- Follows all company, local, state, and federal laws, rules and regulations.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Conducts all interactions with employees, vendors, consultants, etc. in a professional manner.
- Duties may vary depending on location
- Previous experience in a CORRUGATED manufacturing / production environment
- Previous experience with cycle counting preferred
- Forklift Experience a plus
- Proven ability to work SAFELY adhering to all safety processes and policies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion to support operational and business needs
- Ability to work either individually or in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Ability to read specs and use a tape measure
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to use and learn the computer system
