Marketing Coordinator
Do you possess an entrepreneurial mindset with a solid foundation in marketing, alongside demonstrated creativity, interpersonal abilities, and organizational skills? If so, this position may align well with your qualifications and experience.
Your days would be spent focusing on planning and coordinating events, organizing educational seminars, and driving marketing initiatives designed to engage current and prospective clients. Responsibilities include managing event logistics, creating and distributing marketing materials such as newsletters and presentations, and ensuring all content aligns with the firm’s brand and compliance standards. This position requires adaptability, attention to detail, and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic financial planning environment.
Assist with in-house marketing efforts to engage with current and prospective clients:
o Morph an advisor’s five-minute monologue into a tight three-minute script while taking special care in capturing the advisor’s tone.
o Prepare, film and edit all videos and presentations (data copy), ranging from short educational videos, Economic and Investment Updates and social media posts.
o Create and send out timely monthly newsletters with current and reliable content.
o Manage live Zoom presentations that are offered periodically.
o Utilize your experience with SEO tools, Google Analytics, Google Ads and SEM strategies, Facebook Advertising and social media management tools.
Support Educational Seminars (approx. 12-16 classes per year):
o Engage with colleagues to determine optimal dates for seminars and schedule accordingly.
o Work with seminar vendors and various venues to secure dates and locations well in advance, ensure marketing materials are dispersed to the proper demographic area.
o Compile all attendee educational materials and ensure handouts/presentations are up-to-date, accurate and approved by Compliance.
o Be willing to work after-business hours (in-lieu of normal business hours) on seminar days to manage the set-up (physically transport materials, set up AV and presentation slides, arrange chairs, tables, snacks and event materials, etc.) and attendee check-in and check-out.
o Email timely class reminders as well as follow-ups with seminar participants.
o Maintain and regularly update prospect email database.
Facilitate active communication with marketing contractors:
o Actively review firm's digital ad analytics to ensure ads are working, analyze results and budget, track leads generated, and provide advice for new direction, if needed.
o Support creation of new digital campaigns with actions such as copy review.
o Review monthly blog posts to ensure copy mirrors brand tone.
o Ensure website remains up to date with seminar dates, workable links and staff bios.
Coordinate client-focused appreciation efforts utilizing your creativity and budget management:
o Spearhead and run the event planning process, handling all reservations, invitations, emails, food/decor/drink purchases and full event execution.
o Be available to be point person on all events, some of which are outside of normal business hours.
o Brainstorm ideas for client events and report to the team for feedback and finalization (upcoming art exhibit, new movie theatre rental, etc.).
o Prepare and send milestone cards, organize event reminders, and order special occasion and sympathy gifts.
o Handle ideation and purchase of branded client gifting (mugs, pens, holiday gifts, etc.).
In addition to the duties and responsibilities above, there are additional administrative tasks that we all assist with that keep our firm running smoothly. These include answering the phones, setting up client and prospect appointments and managing monthly compliance tasks.
Pay: $62,500.00 per year
