What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabricator position at WEITZ SIGN CO INC?
As a Sign Fabricator, you will be responsible for creating high-quality signs using various materials and techniques, including sheet metal and MIG welding. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, along with strong welding skills. You will report to the Production Manager and collaborate with design teams to ensure that specifications are met. Your expertise in metal fabrication and attention to detail will be essential in producing durable and visually appealing signage. Duties:
- Using production equipment such as radial arm saws, sanders, manual and powered shear and brakes.
- Using basic manual and power hand tools such as wire cutters, wrenches, corded and cordless drills, tape measure.
- Using paint equipment including HVLP guns, scale, respirator.
- MIG welding aluminum and steel
- Work toward continuous quality improvement
- Stay current with changing technology, including software programs
- Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures
Skills:
- Reading and interpreting drawings and instructions
- Precisely mixing paint to provided formulas.
- MIG welding aluminum and steel
Experience and Education:
- High School or equivalent.
- Sheet metal and welding experience preferred
- Sanding and paint experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
