JOB TITLE
Facility Maintenance Technician

JOB SUMMARY
The Facility Maintenance Technician keeps the workplace running smoothly by taking care of day-to-day maintenance and repair needs across our buildings. From electrical and plumbing work to drywall, locks, furniture, and HVAC, this role is hands-on and essential in making sure our spaces are safe, clean, and fully operational. He or she follows a preventative maintenance schedule, responds quickly to issues, and works with minimal supervision to keep everything on track.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in commercial office building maintenance and is comfortable juggling multiple projects at once. With strong skills across carpentry, painting, plumbing, lighting, and more, he or she thrives in a role that requires both technical know-how and practical problem-solving. RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain and repair building systems including electrical lighting, drywall, plumbing, furniture, doors, locks, and HVAC.

Follow preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

Perform carpentry, painting, and general building upkeep.

Keep the work environment clean, safe, and compliant with OSHA, cGMP, and ISO standards.

Maintain written or electronic records of maintenance activities.

Comply with safety protocols including lockout/tagout, PPE, and hot work permits.

Troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions to supervisors.

Install and configure commercial office furniture.

Work independently on multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budgets.

Lift up to 70 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience

7 to 9 years of commercial office building maintenance required.

Prior experience using hand and power tools at a high proficiency level.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong carpentry, painting, plumbing, lighting, and HVAC maintenance skills.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and technical documentation.

Knowledge of commercial office furniture installation and configuration.

Intermediate math skills for measurements and calculations.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on multiple projects.

Valid State of Missouri driver’s license required.

CFC Universal Certification preferred (company will support obtaining required certifications).
