Job Title: Production Custom Assembler (Custom, OEM) D Band Reports To: Area ManagerJob PurposeThe Assembler I position is an entry-level position. The Assembler I may rotate between several manufacturing areas performing different assembly job tasks. The Assembler I position is responsible for building and/or assembly chambers with little or no supervision to ensure compliance with standards.Authority StatementThe Job Title listed empowers the Incumbent with the authority to execute all duties and responsibility listed below. In the event of a conflict of authority, the Incumbent shall elevate to direct supervisor for resolution.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical / mechanical assembly on a variety of components, sub-assemblies, and top-level assemblies by following specified procedures and instructions to produce electrical / mechanical components.Review and interpret general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments; ask clarifying questions when in doubt.Layout and wiring of industrial control panels (back panels and doors).Interconnecting industrial control panels with skid mounted equipment.Testing control systems.Over-the-phone trouble shooting and customer service.Meet project completion timelines and shipping schedules.Maintain a clean and efficient shop & production area.Has a full understanding of standard products and is able work with and assist assembly aspects of products.Other duties as assignedQualificationsPossession of High School Diploma or GED1-5 years’ experienceAble to read advanced standard blueprints, schematics and have consistently proven high efficiencies on assignments with outstanding quality. Capable of doing welding required for the position.Can perform functions of refrigeration including leak testing and repairs. Have displayed the ability to be a good communicator and the ability to work in a team environment with success.Preferred: previous experience working in a manufacturing environmentPreferred: experience and education in refrigeration, including wrapping, piping, soldering, brazing, and mounting of refrigeration components Demonstrated ability to follow proceduresFamiliarity with tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and electronic schematics. Working ConditionsMostly standing work. Continuously lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Frequently lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs. (Lifting more than 50 lbs overhead must be performed by using mechanical aids; if mechanical aids are not available, the lift will be performed by two employees in a team lift.) Detailed work with hands; fine work and simple grasping. Position may involve bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, and kneeling with occasional crawling and twisting. Periodic travel may be involved. As needed, will work at a desk and a computer screen for extended periods of time. Must be able to manually enter data to the computer system and understand the screen and images that appear.Direct ReportsDirect Reports: NOFLSA: Exempt or Non-exempt Non-exempt| Full Time | 40 hours/week | Associates are expected to work overtime when requested by supervision, which could include same day notice.
