We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Multifamily Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in property management, a strong understanding of the multifamily industry, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Tenant Relations:
- Foster positive tenant relations through effective communication and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Oversee the leasing process, from application screening to lease signing, ensuring compliance with company policies and fair housing regulations.
Property Operations:
- Manage property maintenance, including routine inspections, repairs, and coordination of emergency maintenance.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality and cost-effective services.
- Conduct regular property walks to assess and address any physical or aesthetic concerns.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage property budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Collect rent, track and address late payments, and oversee the eviction process when necessary.
- Prepare financial reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Lease Management:
- Enforce lease agreements and ensure compliance with property rules and regulations.
- Monitor lease expirations and initiate lease renewal processes.
Marketing and Occupancy:
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract and retain tenants.
- Work with the leasing team to achieve and maintain high occupancy rates.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Stay current with local, state, and federal housing laws and regulations.
- Ensure property compliance with fair housing practices.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and lead on-site staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in multifamily property management.
- Strong understanding of property management software and tools.
