What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Weiss Entities?
The Lakes of Valparaiso Apartments is searching for qualified maintenance candidates for our Merrillville community.
The maintenance technician is responsible under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the maintenance department and the company as a whole.
- Ensure clean, marketable curb appeal by: painting, cleaning, de-trashing the grounds and other tasks related to the curb appeal of the property as needed and assigned.
- Grounds work as required which may include: mowing, weeding, snow removal and other lawn care and landscaping duties as may be assigned.
- Must prepare vacancies within 5 working days when possible.
- Clean up thoroughly after work is complete.
- Maintain a good rapport with other staff members as well as with vendors and residents.
- Standby calls for emergencies
- Must be able to work Saturdays
