A well-established Pittsburgh law firm is seeking a Tax Collection Specialist to join our Delinquent Tax Collection Department to assist in the collection of delinquent real estate taxes on behalf of school districts and municipalities.
About the Position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing delinquent tax accounts, communicating with taxpayers and public officials, maintaining accurate records, preparing correspondence and legal documents, processing payments, and providing administrative support throughout the tax collection process.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in collections, legal, municipal or real estate tax administration and/or bankruptcy is preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and legal database software
