What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lift Truck Service Operations Leader position at Weisiger Group?
Join LiftOne and Lead the Work That Keeps Supply Chains Moving
At LiftOne, a fourth-generation, family-owned and privately held organization, trust and integrity are more than words—they’re how we operate. We invest in people, facilities, and innovative technology to support the nation’s supply chain and help essential goods reach homes and businesses. Our scale, anchored by strong values, fuels a culture built to last. We offer competitive pay, strong benefits, ongoing training, and real opportunities to advance.
A day in the life
Your morning starts on the shop floor with a quick huddle. You review safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics, then lead a Gemba walk to spot improvement opportunities. After aligning the team with leader standard work, you tackle root-cause problem solving on yesterday’s field issue, dispatch technicians, and balance shop and field capacity. Midday, you review and approve timesheets and work orders, making sure labor and parts are captured accurately in our service platform. In the afternoon, you check in with a customer on preventative maintenance quality, coach a tech on best practices, and escalate a roadblock to central support. You wrap the day by recapping wins, recognizing great work, and planning training and development for tomorrow.
What you’ll own
This role directly supervises technicians in both shop and field environments.
Qualifications
Technology
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Eager to learn auxiliary systems such as Salesforce, SAP, and ServiceMax.
Workplace and physical requirements
The physical demands and work environment of this role reflect the realities of hands-on service leadership. You will regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, and communicate; you will frequently sit. Expect to lift, carry, push, pull, and move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Depending on site location, you may encounter moving mechanical parts/equipment, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather, and vibration. You may also occasionally experience wet/humid conditions, toxic/caustic chemicals, extreme temperatures, and electrical shock risks. Some environments can be loud.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Why LiftOne
We invest in your growth with continuous training and development designed to expand your skills and performance. Success in this challenging, rewarding role can open doors to broader leadership opportunities across our organization.
