Minimum qualifications:

- MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM ASSIGNMENTS
- MUST PASS DRUG SCREENING
- MUST TAKE A PRE-EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT EXAM
Post specifics:
- This specific position is for a gatehouse officer/entry controller with a D License. The selectees will work at all of the sites in the area they are responsible for.
- The schedule and pay rate is Thursday and Friday night (10pm-6am) and the pay rate is $17.50/hr.
- The first 16 hours are permanent. More hours will be made available if the incumbent wants them.
- The primary duties include, but are not limited to: Entry control, golf cart patrol, covering for vacations and call outs (if available and willing), and other general security duties.
- Some light housekeeping duties are required at the majority of our sites. Nothing too in depth, just clean up after yourself.

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring premises through surveillance systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Possible duties and responsibilities:
- Monitor assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of suspicious activity.
- Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies while following established protocols.
- Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for all individuals on-site.
- Conduct regular inspections of property and equipment to identify potential security risks.
- Provide assistance during emergencies.
- Ability to confront an individual(s) and solicit information from them as to why they are in a restricted area/property.
- Document incidents and prepare reports detailing observations and actions taken during shifts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure effective incident resolution.
Experience:
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques and loss prevention strategies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance technology and CCTV operation is an advantage.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals in various situations.
