Description
The Medical Surgical, Labor Delivery, Post-Partum and Nursery Unit Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical/surgical, obstetrics and newborn setting. The registered nurse communicates with physicians, the nurse manager, and co-workers as appropriate regarding changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomology. The RN must respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, the RN must perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Currently hiring for PRN (as-needed, hours will vary)

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Currently Registered Nurse license with the State of Idaho.
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS certified upon hire preferred.
- PALS certified upon hire preferred.
- NRP preferred.
- Labor and Delivery course recommended.
- Fetal Heart Monitoring recommended.
- Ability to use sound judgement and cope with potentially stressful situations.
- Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards of performance improvement and organizational values (e.g. efficiency, safety, partnership, service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, trust, and respect)
- Availability to work weekends, rotating holidays, and equally share in on-call coverage, as needed.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
