What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant - Pediatrics position at Weirton Medical Center?
Performs general office duties including but not limited to scheduling, obtaining guarantor information; answer telephones, inputs patient charges; prepares patient folders and files medical records. Obtains blood specimens from satellite clinic patients; prepares specimens properly to enable medical technologists to conduct analysis which aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of infections or diseases.
High school graduate or GED - Formal training as a medical assistant preferred. Take vital signs and performed EKG's, preferred. Must be a Certified Medical Assistant or pass the Certified Medical Assistant exam within six months of starting.
Previous physician office experience required.
