What you'll do
Casting Verification: Verify the hardness of castings and ensure compliance with all Manufacturing and Inspection Instructions (MII).
Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload castings onto trays for processing, using manual handling or approved material handling equipment and lifting aids as required.
Inspection & Sorting: Visually inspect each casting for defects, properly sort castings by pattern and part number, and identify parts requiring weld repair for quarantine.
Production Support: Maintain a clean, organized work area and support continuous production flow to meet operational goals.
Compliance & Safety: Follow all applicable MIIs, work instructions, and safety standards rigorously.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties within or outside the department as business needs require.
Travel Requirements: Minimal to no travel expected; role is primarily onsite.

What you'll bring
Must-haves:
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and communicate effectively.
Forklift experience and ability to safely operate machinery such as cranes, hoppers, and hoists.
Physical capability to walk, bend, stand, and manually move parts for 90% or more of the workday.
Nice-to-haves:
Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) certification or ability to attain it.
Basic computer skills for data collection and reporting.
Experience in manufacturing or casting environments.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
