What you’ll do
Casting Verification: Verify the hardness of castings and ensure compliance with all Manufacturing and Inspection Instructions (MII).- Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload castings onto trays for processing, using manual handling or approved material handling equipment and lifting aids as required.
- Inspection & Sorting: Visually inspect each casting for defects, properly sort castings by pattern and part number, and identify parts requiring weld repair for quarantine.
- Production Support: Maintain a clean, organized work area and support continuous production flow to meet operational goals.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow all applicable MIIs, work instructions, and safety standards rigorously.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties within or outside the department as business needs require.
- Travel Requirements: Minimal to no travel expected; role is primarily onsite.

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and communicate effectively.
- Forklift experience and ability to safely operate machinery such as cranes, hoppers, and hoists.
- Physical capability to walk, bend, stand, and manually move parts for 90% or more of the workday.
Nice-to-haves:
- Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) certification or ability to attain it.
- Basic computer skills for data collection and reporting.
- Experience in manufacturing or casting environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
