Position Overview:
The Automotive Service Manager will oversee daily operations of the service department, lead a team of advisors and technicians, and ensure an outstanding customer experience from start to finish. The ideal candidate is highly organized, performance-driven, and a true expert in customer retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead all aspects of the service department operations
- Drive customer retention through exceptional service experiences
- Monitor and improve CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores
- Train, mentor, and motivate service advisors and technicians
- Ensure efficient workflow, scheduling, and shop productivity
- Maintain strong communication with customers and staff
- Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism and urgency
- Oversee repair order quality and accuracy
- Work closely with parts and sales departments to maximize performance
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager
- CDK experience required
- Strong track record of customer retention and CSI performance
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- OEM dealership experience preferred (Ford, CDJR, GM a plus)
