Weilu Fresolone Atelier is seeking a talented seamstress to join our growing couture bridal and eveningwear atelier.
We specialize in handcrafted gowns using the finest fabrics, french lace, couture embroidery, and meticulous hand-finishing. Every gown and dress is made with exceptional attention to detail, and we are looking for someone who shares that passion.
Responsibilities
- Construct couture bridal and evening gowns
- Perform precise alterations and fittings
- Sew delicate fabrics including silk, chiffon, organza, lace, and tulle
- Assist with hand sewing, finishing, and pressing
- Maintain the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship
- Work closely with the designer throughout the creation process
Qualifications
- Proficiency with sewing machines and an understanding of various sewing techniques used in couture garment construction.
- Familiarity with materials handling, including fabric preparation and storage best practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, patterns, and dimensional measurements accurately.
- Strong sewing skills with professional experience
- Experience in bridal, evening wear, couture, or luxury garments preferred
- Ability to read patterns and execute complex garment construction
- Excellent attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Pride in creating beautiful work
Preferred Experience
- Corsetry
- Hand beading
- French seams and couture finishing techniques
- Working with delicate luxury fabrics
