The Injector Assistant supports medical providers during aesthetic treatments while enhancing the overall patient experience and contributing to clinic revenue through education, recommendation reinforcement, and retail support. This role blends clinical assistance, hospitality, and consultative sales.
Role and Responsibilities
Clinical Support
- Prepare treatment rooms prior to each patient (cleanliness, stocking, device readiness)
- Assist injectors during procedures (neurotoxins, dermal fillers, biostimulators)
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control standards
- Apply topical numbing agents as directed
- Support patient positioning, comfort, and post-care instructions
- Document treatment details in EMR as directed by provider
Patient Experience
- Greet and room patients with professionalism and warmth
- Create a welcoming, high-touch experience throughout the visit
- Reinforce provider recommendations and treatment plans
- Ensure clear understanding of post-care and next steps
- Build strong relationships to drive retention and loyalty
Sales & Revenue Support
- Confidently educate patients on recommended treatments, packages, and skincare products
- Reinforce provider treatment plans to improve case acceptance
- Identify opportunities to introduce complementary services (e.g., skincare with injectables)
- Support retail conversations and assist patients with product selection at checkout
- Promote memberships, packages, and promotional offerings
- Help drive rebooking by encouraging follow-up appointments before patient departure
- Maintain a consultative, non-pushy approach focused on patient goals and outcomes
Inventory & Supplies
- Track and restock injectable and retail supplies
- Assist with inventory counts and report discrepancies
- Ensure retail displays are clean, organized, and fully stocked
Provider & Clinic Efficiency
- Anticipate provider needs during treatments
- Turn over rooms efficiently to maintain schedule flow
- Support front desk and concierge team when needed
- Help maximize provider utilization through efficient patient flow
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Previous sales experience required (retail, med spa, aesthetics, or healthcare preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build trust quickly
- Comfortable discussing pricing, packages, and product recommendations
- Detail-oriented with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred Education or Experience
- Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical experience preferred
- Experience in aesthetics, dermatology, or plastic surgery strongly preferred
