We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise will ensure that roofing projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities
- Install new roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications
- Repair and replace damaged or aging roofs, including shingles, metal panels, tiles, and flat roofing materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and roofing plans to accurately execute project requirements
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal sheets, concrete forms, and other roofing components
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met and identify areas for improvement or further repair
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks effectively on construction sites
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for each roofing assignment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a roofer with a strong background in construction site work and roofing projects
- Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., hammers, pry bars), power tools (e.g., nail guns, drills), and fabrication equipment
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to roofing systems
- Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), masonry (stucco), metal stud framing, plumbing, welding, tile laying, and restoration work
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
- Experience with caulking techniques for sealing joints and seams effectively
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations on construction sites
