What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Van Driver position at Weigelstown Child Care, LLC?
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable Van Driver to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for transporting children in a safe and timely manner. If you have experience in commercial or residential driving, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in working with kids, we want to hear from you. This position would be a great fit for a retired individual looking to keep busy and make some money.
Duties:
- Safely drive company vans to transport children to and from school
- Maintain the cleanliness inside of the van
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with kids
- Assist children with boarding and exiting the van as needed
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a Van Driver, Bus Driver, Delivery Driver, or in a similar role
- Ability to communicate effectively with school personnel and kids
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance procedures
- Flexibility to work a split shift as needed
State of Pennsylvania Clearances needed to work with children (Must be through Department of Human Services):
- National sex offender registry, FBI fingerprinting, child abuse, and criminal background check
- Work physical with a negative TB test
