What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Manufacturing position at Weigel's?
Summary: This position is held accountable for ensuring products are made to our highest Quality Standards.
• Performs general housekeeping around their immediate work area.
• Ensures work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Keeps up with production workflow.
• Reviews work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
• Puts on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• Meets required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Adheres to all federal food safety regulations, i.e., process controls, sanitation controls, allergen controls
• Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Starting pay is $15
• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 6 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish products from various heights weighing up to 50 pounds throughout shift
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry
• Pass criminal background check
• Strict personal hygiene (handwashing, clean attire) and facility cleanliness are mandatory.
