The Controls Technician installs, maintains, and troubleshoots electrical control systems and related components. Responsibilities include installing conduit and cabling, inspecting and testing systems, diagnosing issues, interpreting schematics, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes. The technician also performs routine maintenance and provides technical support to team members.
Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Installation of EMT conduit, Uni-strut supports, Basket Tray and other electrical Components.
- Installation on Control , network cables associated with ASI bus and PLC inputs/outputs.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems and components
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and malfunctions
- Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Adhere to all electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and customers
- 5 years' experience in electrical control systems
- Journeyman Electrician license ( Plus )
- Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and electrical control panels
- Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
