The role…

How You’ll Make An Impact…
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that support regional business goals and optimize supply chain efficiencies.
- Manage key supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure high standards of compliance and quality.
- Work with various internal teams to ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives and operational needs.
- Oversee purchasing budgets and forecasting, ensuring alignment with financial targets and market demand.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate disruptions effectively.
- Provide leadership and development opportunities for the purchasing team, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Engage in market research to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings and strategic supplier partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years of progressive procurement and supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a regional or global leadership role within a large global, multi-national company.
- Deep knowledge of sourcing practices, supplier management, and contract negotiation with a proven track record in delivering cost savings and supplier performance improvements.
- Experience working in a multinational, matrixed organization and driving procurement transformation.
- Familiarity with large ERP systems, with SAP as an advantage, and Pulp & Paper industry exposure is a plus
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma (LSS), with Green Belt certification considered a plus.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish and/or German is highly desirable.
