The role…
The Engineering Intern will provide technical support for operations at the Urbana, Ohio Facility. This role involves working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Process teams on ongoing projects, including project justification, design, vendor and equipment selection, startup, and continuous improvement initiatives. Projects may involve mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines.
How you’ll make an impact…
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, and management teams to update LO/TO procedures, P&IDs, plant drawings, and equipment documentation.
- Assist the Engineering and Maintenance departments with administrative and technical engineering tasks.
- Develop practical, effective solutions through analysis, design, and implementation of projects in coordination with the Engineering team.
- Support the planning and execution of new plant projects.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and minimize production disruptions.
- Study processes and help develop improvement plans.
- Develop and deploy work instructions.
Communicate procedural changes effectively to employees, supervisors, and managers
What do you bring…
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- AutoCAD – preferred but not required.
- Strong documentation skills, communication abilities, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational discipline.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills.
