The role…
You will provide a full range of material handling support to 2nd Shift at our Urbana, OH manufacturing facility. Duties include but are not limited to: delivering raw materials to production, packing and sorting materials, operating a variety of fork trucks, utilizing safe operating procedures, and collaborating with team members throughout the facility.
Overtime: Required overtime every 3rd weekend, Saturday and Sunday. Additional overtime may be required depending volunteer opportunities and cross training opportunities.
How you’ll make an impact…
- Deliver materials to specified departments.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of materials and supplies
- Assist other departments as needed
- Operate the paper compactor, bailers (plastic/paper), and core cutter
- Note: Other duties may be required
What do you bring…
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to operate a variety of lifts, (forklift, clamp truck, stand-up), and stretch wrap machinery, manual and/or electric hand jack, strapping equipment, bailers/compactor, and core cutter in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as a ruler, tape measure, caliper and micrometer
- Physical requirements – lift and manipulate unwieldly parts weighing approximately 50 lbs
- Ability to train others and willingness to cross train
- Ability to multi-task and work with little supervision in a team environment
