We are seeking a professional and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to join our growing security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, clients, and vendors. This position requires strong observational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents while providing exceptional customer service in a professional setting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional security experience required.
• Valid California BSIS Guard Card.
• Current Power to Arrest (PTA) and Use of Force certificates.
• Current 32-hour BSIS Continuing Education certificates.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine foot patrols and inspections to identify safety hazards or suspicious activity.
• Monitor surveillance systems and report security concerns promptly.
• Control access by verifying identification and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Maintain a visible security presence while providing courteous assistance to staff and guests.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents.
• Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports.
• Coordinate with supervisors, emergency personnel, and law enforcement when necessary.
• Assist with de-escalating conflicts while maintaining a safe and professional environment.
• Enforce site policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Observe and report maintenance, safety, or environmental concerns that may impact operations.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of emergency response procedures.
• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional appearance, reliability, and strong customer service skills.
