Job Summary
The HR Generalist is a multi-dimensional role. This individual undertakes a wide range of HR tasks including but not limited to; recruitment, employee relations, organizing and conducting training, administering employee benefits and leaves, crafting HR policies, and reporting and analyzing relevant HR metrics for efficient department operations. Utilizing Human Resources Information Systems, the HR Generalist ensures all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. He / she acts as the main point of contact for employees’ queries regarding HR-related topics. Wego’s goal is to guarantee the HR department’s operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization.
Responsibilities
- Talent acquisition and recruitment processes.
- Provide support to employees regarding leaves, compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Assist in development and implementation of Wego’s human resource policies.
- Undertake performance management tasks.
- Organize annual employee performance reviews.
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training and development initiatives.
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new incentives, and organizing team building activities.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
- Administer compensation and benefit plans.
- Maintain employee files and records according to Wego’s guidelines.
- Interface with PEO and state agencies as needed.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
- Solid knowledge of employment / labor laws.
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Aptitude in problem-solving.
- BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant field preferred
