What are the responsibilities and job description for the International Trade Attorney Associate position at Wegman Partners?
Rare Opportunity | Chambers-Ranked International Trade Group Associate (UNPOSTED)
I am currently working with a prestigious boutique firm in DC on two high-priority, unposted needs within their elite International Trade practice.
Unlike the massive "cog-in-the-wheel" experience at some of the global giants, this group offers the high-end deal flow of a top-tier firm within a collaborative, mentorship-heavy environment. This is a "lean" team where associates get significant substantive experience and direct client contact early on.
We are looking for Mid-to-Senior level associates in two specific areas:
1. Customs & Import (3 Years)
- Focus on CBP requirements, compliance counseling, and tariff mitigation.
- Experience with audits and enforcement is key.
- Bonus: AD/CVD or customs litigation experience.
2. Export Controls & Sanctions (3 Years)
- Focus on U.S. export controls (ITAR/EAR) and OFAC sanctions.
- Experience representing clients before BIS, DDTC, and the DOJ.
- Background in internal investigations, risk assessments, and CFIUS reviews.
Why this role? The firm is known for investing heavily in its people. You’ll get a real runway for advancement and work directly with partners who are leaders in the field.
