What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Transactions Attorney Associate position at Wegman Partners?
I am working closely with a V10 Firm's Chambers Ranked Environmental Transactional Group that is continuing to grow out its team in DC. This group provides guidance to a broad range of clients on transactions involving identification, allocation, and disclosure of environmental risk, legal regulatory, and enforcement developments regarding environmental matters, liabilities arising out of environmental conditions, and compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 1-8 years of experience with environmental transactions and regulatory work, preferably from a big law firm (but candidates with the right experience from the government/in-house can be considered)
- Excellent academic credentials (strong law school, good grades)
This is the opportunity to join a fairly new, growing group in the DC office that is already doing its second iteration of associate hiring in a year. The head partners are extremely focused on associate development and mentorship, and the group is very tightly-knit and collaborative. There is amazing runway for substantive opportunity and advancement.
The firm offers top of the market compensation and no billable requirement.
