Position Summary
Weg's Guns is looking for a knowledgeable, customer-focused Firearms Specialist to join our team. We're a family-run, 4,000-square-foot shop, and this role is central to how we do business: real product expertise across firearms, optics, ammunition, and accessories, turned into confident recommendations that match each customer to the right fit. You'll work with first-time buyers and experienced shooters alike, handle objections with credibility rather than pressure, and help keep our sales floor safe, welcoming, and running smoothly.
Because we're small and hands-on, you'll work directly with responsive, on-site management — not a distant corporate structure. We're currently hiring for multiple positions, and prior experience in firearms sales or compliance is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of firearm acquisitions and dispositions (A&D) in compliance with ATF requirements
- Organize and manage firearms across our vault, sales floor, and storage areas
- Ensure thorough and accurate completion of ATF Form 4473
- Manage access to firearm storage areas
- Process firearm shipments and transfers
- Receive and verify incoming firearms using log books and electronic systems
- Perform monthly firearm audits
- Respond to ATF trace requests and compliance tasks
- Help train other associates on firearm handling and compliance
- Provide excellent customer service and help customers make informed purchasing decisions
- Promote in-store programs and promotions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Requirements & Skills
- Prior experience in firearms retail sales, inventory, or ATF/FFL compliance strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of ATF regulations and firearm safety
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear communication skills, verbal and written
- Basic math and computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
