Position Summary
Responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, storing, and staging inventory according to purchase orders, production schedules, and shipping schedules.
Job Position Responsibilities
- Receive in materials as they are delivered from vendors.
- Stage WIP and raw materials for production according to the planned production schedule.
- Shrink wrap and assign storage locations to WIP and finished goods as they are palletized and ready for storage.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move items to and from storage.
- Load product and transport product to offsite warehouse for storage.
- Load finished products for shipping to our customer according to shipping schedule.
- Ensure that all palletized product is packaged neatly on the pallet and in pristine condition before loading onto the truck.
- Maintain warehouse requirements safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Report all accidents or near misses.
- Adhere to all environmental and quality standards.
- Perform other related duties as necessary.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations required
- Forklift experience required
- Drivers license required
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Professional and optimistic attitude, ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to drive a forklift and box truck (CDL not required)
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Pay
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
