What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent position at Weeks Grp, LLC?
Senior Electrical Superintendent – Data Center (Live / Brownfield | Hyperscale)
Weeks Construction Services delivers mission-critical data center projects in live (Day 2) environments, executing complex upgrades and expansions with zero tolerance for downtime.
We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Superintendent who can lead in high-risk, high-accountability environments where precision, planning, and execution discipline define success.
The Role
You will lead electrical construction inside active hyperscale data centers, owning execution, QA/QC, and energization while maintaining concurrent maintainability and Tier III/IV reliability.
You are the onsite authority ensuring all work is completed safely, correctly, and without impact to operations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead electrical work in live, energized environments (zero downtime)
- Plan and execute tie-ins, cutovers, and energization events
- Own MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, and change management processes
- Enforce zero-defect QA/QC and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Oversee installation of:
- MV/LV distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators
- Busway, PDUs, RPPs, and cabling systems
- Coordinate with client operations, commissioning teams, and trades
- Lead switching procedures, LOTO, and outage planning
- Drive first-pass success in testing, commissioning, and turnover
What You Bring
- 10 years in mission-critical electrical construction
- Proven experience in live data center (Day 2 / brownfield) environments
- Deep knowledge of:
- Critical power systems (MV/LV, UPS, generators)
- Concurrent maintainability / Tier III–IV environments
- QA/QC, commissioning, and switching procedures
- Ability to read one-lines, schematics, and protection systems
- Strong leadership in high-pressure, zero-failure environments
- OSHA 30 required | NFPA 70E preferred
What Success Looks Like
- Zero unplanned outages tied to construction activities
- Clean, controlled, audit-ready jobsite
- First-pass success in QA/QC and commissioning
- Flawless execution of cutovers and energizations
- Trusted partner to client operations in a live environment
This Role Isn’t for You If
- You’re not comfortable working around energized critical systems
- You haven’t led work using MOPs, switching procedures, and strict change control
- You prefer greenfield projects over tight, phased, live environments
- You don’t take full ownership of quality, planning, and field execution
Compensation & Benefits
- $145K – $165K
- Full benefits (medical, dental, vision)
- 401(k) Safe Harbor
- PTO
Why Weeks
- High-impact work in live hyperscale environments
- Performance-driven, no-nonsense culture
- Opportunity to lead complex, high-visibility electrical scopes
Salary : $145,000 - $165,000
